Somerleyton Hall and Gardens Tours - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday until 28th September.  One of the finest Tudor-Jacobean style architectural examples.  Take a tour and of The Hall and The Gardens from 10am - 5pm.  Tours last 45 mins and run regularly from 11.30 - 3pm.

The Grand Henham Steam Rally - 16 and 17 September. Newmarket Food and Drink Festival - Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September 10am - 4.30pm, Newmarket Town Centre, Palace Street and The Guineas Shopping Centre Newmarket, CB8 8EP.  A traditional food and drink fayre featuring celebrity chefs, including Theo Randall and Sophie Grigson, on hand for demonstrations, alongside top local chefs.  Also top wine writer Oz Clarke.

Autumn Plant Fair and Artisan Market - Sunday 17 September, Helmingham Hall Gardens, Helmingham Suffolk, IP14 6EF, £7 adults, £3.50 children.  Lots of stalls in beautiful surroundings.

Long Melford Stately Home Car Boot Sale - Sunday 17 September, 9am - 2pm.  In the grounds of Melford Hall, Long Melford, CO109AA.  Over 150 stalls, marquee for collectors stalls and refreshments.

Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival - Saturday 23 - Sunday 24 September, 9.30 - 5pm, Snape Maltings, Snape IP17 1SP.  A must-see event on Suffolk's calendar not to be missed!  The festival features over 90 food and drink producers.  2 cookery demonstration stages with local chefs.  Cookery activities, face painting and more.  Adult tickets £8 for a day ticket or £14 for a weekend ticket.
